How can we help?

Answers to the questions couples, families and businesses ask most. Pick a topic, or scroll.

Logging in

Do I need an account?
No. You can look at venues and vendors, use the planning tools and save ideas to boards without one. An account keeps your shortlist, plan and boards safe and opens them on any phone or laptop. You need one to make a registry.
How do I log in?
Tap Log in, type your email address, and we email you a 6-digit code. Type it on the login page, on any phone or computer. Or tap the link in the email and press Log in. There is no password, and the same email creates your account if you are new.
The login email has not arrived
It can take a minute or two, so check your spam and promotions folders too. If you asked more than once, only the code in the newest email works. Still nothing? Tell us and we will look into it.
The link in the email will not open
Type the 6-digit code from the email on the login page instead; it always works. The link only opens a page with a Log in button, so press that to finish.
How do I log out, or delete my account?
Log out from your account page (the letter in the top right corner). Your plan and boards leave that browser but stay safe in your account. To delete your account and everything in it, write to us from the email address you log in with, and the team will delete it.

Planning tools

Where is my plan kept?
Before you log in, only in this browser on this device; we never receive it, and clearing your browser’s data deletes it. Once you log in, it moves into your account and opens on any device.
Can I look around before entering our details?
Yes. On the plan start screen, open the example plan for Ananya and Kabir and try everything. It stays in this browser and is never saved to an account. Close it when you are ready to start your own.
Our dates have changed
Open the plan overview and change the dates in your wedding details. Open checklist tasks move with the new dates.
Two of us edit the plan on different phones
Log in with the same account on both. If you both change the plan at the same moment, the second save stops and the newest version opens with a note, so nothing is overwritten without you knowing.
Can I download the guest list?
Yes. The guest list has a download (a CSV file) that opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
How do I delete my plan?
At the bottom of your wedding details on the plan overview, choose “Delete this plan and start again”, then confirm.

Invitations

How do we make our invitation?
Open Invites in your plan. Your invitation is an animated template: a small website that opens like the real thing. Design: choose the template (Château, with doors that open and a curtain that parts; Dentelle, a lace envelope sealed with wax that opens onto a lace cover; Roseraie, an embroidered envelope that opens onto a rose arch, with garden gates and a carriage; Giardino, embroidered garden doors that open onto an oval of roses, with a garden arch and a villa by the lake; Perla, an envelope of ginkgo leaves and a satin bow that open onto an embossed card, with mother of pearl and curtains; Blue Zardosi, a navy velvet curtain in gold zardosi that parts onto your names in gold; or Vitrail, doors of frosted stained glass that open onto an arch of roses, with an oval of glass guests scratch to find your photo) and what falls as it opens (petals, flowers, leaves or confetti). Content: your names, families, blessing and wording in English, Hindi or Tamil, which functions to show, and the template's sections. Five are on every invitation (the opening, your names, the countdown, the functions and the reply); the others, such as Welcome, Our story, Photos, the Timeline and The day after, you switch on or off and write in your own words. Share: publish and send. The phone on the right shows exactly what guests will see; tap Replay to watch the opening again. Dates, times and places come from your plan, so they always match.
How do we send it?
Every family on your guest list gets their own link. Tap WhatsApp next to a family and your own WhatsApp opens with the message written for them. Nothing is sent for you and nothing goes out in bulk. For families without a number, copy the message instead.
Do we need to log in?
Not to make it: the studio keeps your invitation in this browser while you work. To publish your invitation link, so families can open it and reply, log in with your email; your plan comes with you.
What do guests see when they open the link?
Your invitation opens like its own little website. With Château, two linen doors carrying your initials swing open, the curtain parts and your names appear as the petals, flowers, leaves or confetti you chose fall. With Dentelle, a lace envelope sealed with wax opens onto a lace cover with your names. With Roseraie, an embroidered envelope with a pearl medallion on its flap opens onto a rose arch with your names, and garden gates swing open as guests scroll. With Giardino, two embroidered doors swing open onto an oval of roses and your names, the date and the place appear one after another. With Perla, an envelope of ginkgo leaves sealed with wax opens, a satin bow comes undone and the satin parts to show an embossed card with your names, and the reply waits in an envelope of its own. With Blue Zardosi, a navy velvet curtain embroidered in gold is drawn open, gathering into its folds, and your names appear in gold between the drapes (it starts with nothing falling, so the embroidery shows; you can choose an effect). Then guests scroll through the sections you switched on: the countdown, your functions with directions and an add-to-calendar button that adds all of them at once, and whichever of Welcome, Our story, your photos, the Timeline and The day after you chose, then the reply. Phones set to reduce motion skip the animation.
How do replies work?
Each family's link shows only the functions they are invited to. They say yes or no for each, how many are coming and what they eat, and can leave you a note. Replies come into your guest list by themselves when you open your plan, and the Invites tab shows who has opened their link and who has replied.
Can we print it?
Not any more: invitations are now websites you share by link, so there is no card to print. If you published an invitation with one of our earlier card designs before 18 October 2026, it keeps its image and PDF downloads in the Share step until you switch it to a template.
Do guests need their own link to reply?
No. Anyone who opens your main invitation link can reply with their name, and the reply goes into your guest list under Friends. In the studio's Share step you choose what the form asks (which functions, how many, food, a way to say no) and can add up to three questions of your own, or hide the form. If you also plan on Shaadiwaale, press Integrate with planning: every family in your guest list then gets a personal link with their name and only their functions, and you see Sent, Opened and Replied for each.
What does an invitation cost?
Designing it is free. Opening your invitation link costs ₹99, paid once through Razorpay (UPI, cards or net banking). Log in before you pay and the invitation is yours for life on your account: change it, pause it, share it again, see replies and send each family their own link, from any phone or laptop. Without an account, press Download your invite, pay in the window and the link is made for this browser; a new browser or a cleared one means a new invitation and a new payment, so log in if you can. The link is a digital product made the moment you pay, so payments are not refundable; if a link could not be made after you paid, write to our team and we will put it right.
Can we send a Save the date first?
Yes. In the studio's Content step, under What you are sending, choose Save the date. Guests who open your link then see your names and dates with "Full invitation to follow", the welcome, your story and the countdown, but no functions, timeline, replies or registry. When the full plan is ready, switch back to Invitation; the same link now shows everything.
Can we use our own paper behind the invitation?
Not on a template: its embroidered artwork is part of the design. Invitations published earlier with one of our card designs keep their paper, and can still change it in the studio's Design step (Add your own uploads a picture, stored with your account so guests can see it; Remove deletes it).
Can our invitation play music?
Yes. In the studio's Content step, under Your music, tick the box confirming you have the right to use the song, then choose a file from your phone or laptop and pick where the clip starts. We keep only a clip of up to 90 seconds, made in your browser. With music, the doors wait for guests to tap them (phones only play sound after a tap), the song starts as they open, and a button pauses it. Film songs usually need the music label's permission, so use your own recording or music with a licence that allows it.
Can we add our photos?
Yes. In the studio's Content step, open Photos under Sections: tick the box saying you may share the photos, then add a photo of each of you (shown in pearl rings with your names), a wide photo and up to 12 more for a small gallery that opens large when tapped. They are stored with your account, so you need to be logged in, and guests who open your link can see them. Nothing shows until you tick the box. Each photo has a Remove button that deletes it, and unticking the box deletes them all.
Can we stop guests opening the link?
Yes. Pause the link in the Invites tab and it stops working until you open it again. Families keep the same links.
Who can see our guests' names?
Each family sees only their own name, on their own link. Nobody sees the other families or their replies, except the two of you.

Shagun registry

Does money go through Shaadiwaale?
No. Guests promise a gift or an amount, then bring the gift or give the amount at the wedding with their shagun. Nobody is asked for card or bank details.
How do guests find our registry?
Share your registry’s link, for example in the family WhatsApp groups. Guests who lose it can type your names on Find your registry. It opens only after you turn it on for guests.
Who can see what guests promised?
Only the two of you. Guests see that a gift is taken, and a total only where you allow it.
Someone promised by mistake, or it is not a real guest
Open the Registry tab in your plan and remove that promise.
Can we hide the registry again?
Yes. Turn it off for guests in the Registry tab at any time, and the link stops working until you turn it back on.

Kundli and wedding dates

How do we match our kundlis?
Open Kundli matching, choose North or South Indian, and enter both names, dates, times and places of birth. You get the Guna Milan out of 36, the ten poruthams, a Manglik (Chevvai dosham) check for both, Nadi and Bhakoot dosha, both charts and wedding dates that suit you both. North Indian puts the 36 gunas first with diamond charts; South Indian puts the poruthams first with square charts. Download it as a PDF to show the family or your pandit.
Are our birth details stored?
No. The kundli is worked out on your own device and the details stay in the page address after the # sign, which is never sent to us. Save on this device keeps a kundli in that browser only; Remove takes it away. A shared link carries the birth details, so share it only with people you trust.
We do not know the birth time
Tick that the time is not known. The 36-point match and the nakshatra usually still hold, and we tell you if the Moon changed nakshatra that day. Without a time there is no Lagna, so houses and the Manglik check are counted from the Moon.
How are the wedding dates chosen?
Each day is checked from sunrise to sunrise in your wedding city against the wedding rules of the customs you pick: North Indian (no Kharmas, Chaturmas or adhik month, and so on), Tamil (no Aadi, Purattasi or Margazhi), Telugu and Kannada (no Ashadha, Bhadrapada or Pushya masam) or Malayali (no Karkidakam); the South Indian ones also keep Rahu kalam and Yamagandam out. For a match, each day is also checked against both your Moon signs and stars. The full list of rules is under each set of dates; the South Indian customs are our best reading of common practice for now. Your pandit fixes the exact muhurat on the day. Also see Free kundli for one person's chart.
Another site shows a slightly different result
Small differences are normal: sites use slightly different tables, ayanamsas and settings, and a few minutes of birth time can change the nakshatra or the Lagna. We use the Lahiri ayanamsa and say which rule each part follows.

Inspiration

Where has Inspiration gone?
It is paused for a little while. We are replacing its photos with a collection of our own, and Inspiration comes back as soon as it is ready.
What happens to the boards I saved?
They are kept, in this browser and in your account if you logged in, and they open again when Inspiration comes back. Ideas whose photos are not in the new collection will not show on them.
I saw my photo on Inspiration
Its photos are off the site while we replace them. If one of them was yours, tell us on WhatsApp or by email and we will make sure it does not come back.

The Shop

When does the Shop open?
Soon. You can look around now, save what you like and ask us to tell you on WhatsApp when an item is ready. Until it opens, the prices, reviews and delivery details you see are samples that show how the Shop will work, and nothing can be ordered yet.
Where do the things I save go?
They stay in this browser, and on your account once you log in, so you can see them on another phone. See them any time under Saved in the Shop.
Do you sell printed invitation cards?
No. For invitations we make animated invitation websites, which you can design in Invites.

Venues and vendors

Where do the vendors come from?
Our team looked for wedding vendors in each of our fourteen cities: photographers, makeup and mehendi artists, decorators, caterers, DJs and bands, pandits, choreographers, ghodi and baraat bands, and invitation makers. Each one has a page with its name, what it does, its street and a Google Maps link, and their prices from our team's research. Ask for a quote and our team calls them to confirm the price, packages and dates for your functions. When a vendor joins Shaadiwaale, their full listing takes over the page.
Where do the vendor prices come from, and why do some say “Estimate”?
For the vendors our team found, the prices come from our team's research in October 2026. Where we had no figure yet, the page shows our estimate from similar vendors, marked "About" and "Estimate". Prices change with your date, your city and your functions, so ask for a quote and our team confirms the vendor's price, with the taxes and the advance, before you book. These prices are not used in the price filters yet.
How do reviews work? Can I write one?
Yes. Log in, open the vendor's or venue's page and tap Write a review under Reviews: your names as you want them shown, a rating, which function and when (if you like), and a few lines in your own words. It shows on the page straight away, and you can change or remove it later. One review per person per business. Our team takes down reviews that are not genuine or are about another business, and Shaadiwaale never copies reviews or ratings from Google or any other site. Our team also adds reviews couples give us on calls, with their permission.
Can I see more photos of a vendor?
Most vendor pages have no photos yet. Tap Request more photos at the top of the page and leave your name and WhatsApp number. Our team asks the vendor for photos of their recent weddings and sends them to you on WhatsApp.
Where do the venue prices come from?
For a venue with a full listing, from the venue itself. For the other venues, our team gathered the starting price per plate, capacity, rooms and rules, and each page says the month we checked them. Prices change and depend on your menu, date and guest count, so when you ask for a quote, our team confirms the final price with the venue before you book.
Why do some venues say “On request”?
We do not have that detail for that venue on the site yet, for example its non-veg price or room rate. Tap Get a quote and our team will find out for you, with its dates.
How do I contact a venue or vendor?
Use the quote form on their page (or tick several vendors in search and send one enquiry). For a business with a full listing, WhatsApp opens with your enquiry written out, addressed to them, and a copy goes to their Shaadiwaale dashboard. For the venues and vendors our team researched, your request comes to our team, who call them for you, and the Call, WhatsApp and Email buttons on those vendors' pages reach our team too. Prefer help? Ask our team on WhatsApp.
Is your help free, and what is the Concierge?
Asking our team is free: use Ask our team on venue and vendor pages, or a quote form, and we answer on WhatsApp and call venues and vendors for you. The Concierge is something else: a bespoke service in which a planner takes on the wedding with you, with fees from ₹20 lakh.
How are venue prices worked out?
Most venues charge per plate, with a minimum number of guests, and sometimes a rental for the space. The planner on each venue page adds this up for every function. The final price is always agreed with the venue. Our guide to what a wedding venue really costs explains each part.

For businesses

How do I list my business?
Fill in the form on For vendors. Our team checks your business, sets up your listing and sends you an invite link, so you can fill in your page and see enquiries in your own dashboard.
My venue is on Shaadiwaale and I want to add prices or photos
Use the form on For vendors and we will set up your full listing with prices, spaces and photos. If something about your venue is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
What does it cost to list?
Listing costs ₹99.
How do I change my listing?
Log in to your business dashboard and open Your listing. Changes show on your page as soon as you save them. Photos: send them to us for now; uploading them yourself comes next.
How do I log in as a business?
Our team sends you an invite link once your business is checked. Open it, log in with your email, and accept. After that, log in any time from your business dashboard.

Your details

Do you use analytics or cookies?
Yes, to improve the site. Google Analytics counts which pages are read and which tools are used, without your name, contact details, birth details, guest lists or messages. Microsoft Clarity shows us where people tap and scroll, with every word and photo hidden, and never on private pages such as your plan, invitations or kundli. Neither is used for advertising. More on the privacy page.
What do you do with my details?
Our privacy summary explains what we keep and why, in plain words.
Is it okay to add guests’ phone numbers?
Add only what you need for the wedding, such as a number for sending the invitation and reminders on WhatsApp. Only you can see your guest list. Before you log in it stays in your browser; after, it is kept in your account. When you publish your invitation link, each family's name is saved with their link so it can greet them.
